MUET results

To all MUET March 2013 candidates, you may check your MUET results from this website:

Yes, so I've checked mine yesterday night, and uhh...Band 4! :/

Wasn't extremely excited about it but at least I don't have to retake. Wanted a Band 5 actually, because my bro gotten a Band 5 and I didnt want to lose to him *kiasu me :P* just 10 marks away from Band 5!!! Huhuhu T.T

It's okay. To say the truth, I did not put much effort in this. Only started preparing for MUET few days before the test. That is me. Forever start gan jeong last minute. At first I was a lil worried as I did not sign up for the MUET preparatory class while most of my friends did. I didn't want to waste my money on that as I was told by my bro that MUET is damn easy. He did not even prepare anything and gotten Band 5. lolol.

Here is the MUET band description:

Band 2 – Limited user (Aggregated Score: 100 – 139)
Limited command of the language. Lacks expressiveness, fluency and appropriacy: inaccurate use of the language resulting in breakdown in communication. Limited understanding of language and contexts. Limited ability to function in the language.

Band 1 – Extremely limited user (Below 100)
Poor command of the language. Unable to use language to express ideas: inaccurate use of the language resulting in frequent breakdowns in communication. Little or poor understanding of language and contexts. Hardly able to function in the language.

Actually I think I deserve a Band 4. hahaha. Because the description really suits me well. I'm really just a competent user. ^^v
It is about the deteriorating standard of MUET. It used to be so hard to secure a Band 5 but now??? Aih...it's just like the grade inflation plaguing SPM subjects. What to do? This is Malaysia.

To those who will be sitting for MUET in the future, don't worry, MUET is not as tough as you think. I personally think listening is quite easy. Reading is moderate while speaking and writing are tougher for me, so yea. Do get some tips from the Internet the day before your test. I did that hehe ;) You will be able to search for some speaking and writing tips from some blogs. Get a reference book and know the format of MUET too :)
